Women Empowerment (Health and Hygiene)

Education, Elevating and Empowering Women for a healthier tomorrow.

Understanding the critical role that women play in our society, a group of volunteers from 1Point1 and the Child Support Foundation visited rural and tribal communities to raise awareness of issues regarding women’s and girls’ health and well-being on 29th January 2024.

The promotion of improved hygiene habits and the resolution of the problems and taboos related to menstrual hygiene in these communities were given particular attention. The team also taught and trained the women in these communities on the value of maintaining good hygiene during menstruation, how to use sanitary napkins correctly, and general menstrual health.

For those in attendance, it was a life-changing event because it allowed them to connect with these women and educate them about menstrual health, resulting in a more educated, hygienic, and healthy group of women in these rural and tribal communities. With this effort, we have moved one step closer to creating a society that values each person’s well-being and acknowledges and prioritises the significance of women’s health and hygiene.
