Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)

A flagship initiative aimed at providing industry-relevant skill training to about 10million young Indians and enhancing employability in the country. The scheme aims to benefit the youth targeting under the age group of 15 - 45 years by offering them the opportunity to get trained, assessed and certified with this skill training programme. For every candidate who has been awarded a valid certificate, PMKVY provides financial support, Skill India card as well a sassistance with placement to earn a livelihood.

National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)

A public-private partnership focused on promoting skill development by catalyzing the creation of large, quality, for-profit vocational institutions. Through its many scholarship and financial aid programmes, NSDC makes skill training more accessible to qualified people. By providing them with the skills and training they need to improve their chances of landing jobs across a range of industries, it seeks to empower the youth of India. An individual's productivity and knowledge are also increased by this.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Aims to recognize the existing skills and knowledge of individuals and provide them with certifications that enhance their employability. RPL aids in their assessment and certification of their present competencies in accordance with NSQF levels. It acknowledges the importance of education obtained outside of a formal environment and offers a government certificate in recognition of a person's abilities.

Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN)

Focuses on skill development and employability enhancement in Himachal Pradesh through state-of-the-art training programs. The program prepares school or college dropouts and jobless youth for work by providing free training in industry-related skills. It provides participants with a legitimate certification and a Skill India card, which they may use to apply for jobs and support themselves.
