| Senior citizens embody the essence of familial wisdom, experience, and tradition. And rightly so, a group of volunteers from 1Point1 visited the senior citizens residing at The Earth Saviours Foundation on 2nd January 2024 on the occasion of Global Family Day. The group of volunteers were welcomed with open arms and greetings by the staff and residents of the foundation. The volunteers arrived with blankets for the senior citizens; a sign of warmth and care in the chilly winter season. Conversations amongst those in attendance flowed naturally, bridging the generational divide. When it came to forming deep friendships, age was just a number because stories were exchanged, laughter reverberated through the hallways, and bonds were forged. The event was a huge success, not just in terms of comfort to the aged, but also in terms of elevating spirits and spreading happiness. It echoed the genuine spirit of Global Family Day by serving as a reminder of the value of human connection, family, and community. |
